Prospective Graduate School applicant from Hong Kong poses with Stanford student docent.

Sidney can walk backwards for two miles while describing architecture and California history and fielding rapid-fire questions from potential Stanford University student applicants on this campus tour. Not the easiest job, but she does it with a smile. Docents cover the architectural styles of the old and new buildings, construction methods, campus lore, as well as general University topics. Ok, so it’s not just an architecture tour, but if you have a chance, you may want to take the 70 minute walk, given twice daily, 7 days a week and led by Stanford student volunteers. No reservations are required, and parking is available. Cal grads: if you take this tour, the docents are ready for a few good-natured pokes. What is your favorite campus or architectural tour? Let us know. Have fun!
